Harlan Coben Returns to Netflix with New Polish Crime Novel, It’s a Sure-Fire Hit

Harlan Coben has partnered with Netflix, signing a multi-year contract to adapt his novels for the screen. Poland has proven to be an ideal place to realize some of the projects – both in terms of the atmosphere and the possibility of adapting the plot to local realities. Coben has actively promoted Polish productions and praised the work of Polish creators.
Let us recall that so far in Poland the following films have been adapted: “In the Woods” – the story of prosecutor Paweł Kopiński (Grzegorz Damięcki), who returns to the unsolved case of the disappearance of his sister from years ago. A body is found in the forest, which may shed new light on this tragedy, “Keep Calm” – the story of parents (Magdalena Boczarska, Leszek Lichota), who after their son disappears, begin to discover the dark secrets of the community in which they live.
What will the series “Just One Look” be about?
“Just One Look” is a psychological thriller in which a jewelry designer’s life changes dramatically after finding an old photo. Soon after, her husband disappears without a trace, and she begins a desperate search. During the investigation, she discovers a web of lies and secrets that lead her to events from years ago.
As is usually the case with Harlan Coben, the series tries to answer the question of how much we really know about our loved ones and whether the past can really be left… in the past. We have a feeling that the upcoming premiere will be much more satisfying than the moderately successful “I Miss You.”
Who will star in the Polish adaptation of Harlan Coben’s thriller?
The cast will feature well-known names from Polish cinema. The main role will be played by Maria Dębska, whose character will face the mysterious disappearance of her husband. She will be joined by Piotr Stramowski, as well as Tomasz Schuchardt, Jacek Koman and Wojciech Zieliński.
